I went to live in Paris for 3 \u00bd weeks one year ago today. Moving to Paris for just under one month? What\u2019s the difference?<\/p>\n

It means I’m not in tourist mode doing touristy things. Doesn\u2019t mean I won\u2019t take in a site here and there. Even New Yorkers eventually visit the Statue of Liberty. It\u2019s a working trip. I\u2019m working, but I\u2019m not here for work. I’m a digital nomad, 100% remote, so I can work from anywhere in the world. And last year at this time I wanted to be here.<\/p>\n

Why Paris? For me it goes without saying Paris is a beautiful city with old world architecture and what seems to be an endless number of museums to visit that extends beyond The Louvre, which is enough of a reason alone. The food is amazing and of course, the Parisian vibe of sitting in quaint cafes being part of that French vibe they are known for is worthwhile. Plus Paris is a central city with multiple options for traveling to outer cities or other European countries. So why not!<\/p>\n

We arrived in Paris after an overnight flight with French Bee Airlines<\/a> which primarily flies to France and the French Caribbean. Was nice having a cool view of take-off and landing with cameras installed under the plane that we could see on our seat screens. I knew some planes had those, but never been on one until now. We landed in Orly airport<\/a>, another major airport besides Charles de Gaulle<\/a>, and stayed one month. The highlight was attending the NYU European Alumni Annual Conference, but overall in my opinion, Paris is an amazing place to be.<\/p>\n
